I Have Leftovers from a Collagen Recipe – Can I Consume Them?
As you know, Tonic’s collagen powders are easy to incorporate into your diet. You can mix it into your morning coffee, your post-workout water, or any liquid-based recipe. Soups, baked goods, smoothies—they can all be infused with the goodness of collagen! But what about the leftovers? If you make more of something than you can eat in one day, are you losing the health benefits of the collagen within?
Luckily, the answer is no! Once you have put collagen into your recipe, you have some time to consume it. Refrigerating collagen-infused soups or smoothies for later won’t corrupt the nutritional value of the collagen powder. This also goes for baked goods that you consume over a few days as pre or post-gym snacks. Obviously it is best not to wait too long to consume anything you make due to food safety but as long as you are eating or drinking your collagen creation in a reasonably timely fashion, you will still reap the benefits.
