Gingerbread Collagen Granola

 

Did you know that you can make your own granola? Because you can. Seriously, combine a few ingredients, bake it in the oven for a while, and just like that you have crunchy, flavorful granola to put on your yogurt or eat as a snack. We put Traditional Tonic Nourishing Collagen in our granola so that getting in our daily dose of collagen is easier than ever.

This granola recipe is also perfect for the colder months because it’s gingerbread flavored! This is the perfect way to satisfy your winter treat cravings without feeling guilty. Cooked with molasses, cinnamon, and ginger, this recipe has that wonderful bite you get from a good gingerbread and just the right amount of sweetness.

Makes: 5 cups

Ingredients:

  • 3 1/4 cups rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup raw almonds
  • 3/4 cup raw pecans
  • 1/2 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 3 scoops Traditional Tonic nourishing Collagen
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 4 Tbsp. molasses
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325° F
  2. In a large bowl, combine oats, nuts, cinnamon, and ginger
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, mix together the coconut oil, maple syrup, molasses, and vanilla. Once combined, stir inTraditional Tonic and mix until dissolved
  4. Pour the wet ingredients over the dry and stir well
  5. Spread onto a baking sheet and bake for approx. 20 minutes, stirring halfway and monitoring to avoid burning
  6. Once the mixture is browned well, remove from oven and let cool
